Program Hours: 3 PM – 5PM

Program Philosophy

Nature’s Embrace is an after‑school program rooted in the belief that time in nature supports resilience, confidence, curiosity, and well‑being — values central to the Nature’s Embrace Forest Adventures

At its core, the program gives children space to slow down, explore, connect with the natural world, and learn in, with, and from the land. Through meaningful interaction with natural environments, children develop a deeper sense of place, respect for the world around them, and foundational social‑emotional skills.

In Partnership with Wildwood Child Care
Location: 2745 Mt Seymour Pkwy

Ages: 18mths to 36mths  and 36 months – school aged

Program Philosophy

At Huckleberries, we create a caring, nurturing home away from home where children feel safe, valued, and inspired. Rooted in the British Columbia Early Learning Framework, we view each child as capable, curious, and full of potential. Through play-based, inquiry-driven experiences, children are supported in exploring their interests and building meaningful relationships. Inspired by Reggio Emilia and grounded in our North Vancouver community, our environments act as a “third teacher,” encouraging creativity and connection. We prioritize social-emotional well-being and a strong connection to nature, fostering a sense of belonging while supporting each child’s unique path of growth, discovery, and lifelong learning.
